Overview
Zakat Hub is an all-in-one Islamic finance application that combines a powerful Zakat calculator with a comprehensive educational guide. Instead of relying on complex manual calculations, users simply enter the value of their zakatable assets and liabilities, and the application automatically calculates their payable Zakat based on the standard 2.5% rate after determining whether their wealth exceeds the Nisab threshold.
Beyond calculations, the app includes detailed educational content covering Zakat rules, eligibility, recipients, frequently asked questions, special cases, exemptions, and the difference between Zakat and Zakat al-Fitr.
Because the application functions completely offline, it ensures maximum accessibility and user privacy without requiring internet connectivity.
Project Goal
The primary objective of this project was to develop a modern, reliable, and completely offline mobile application that helps Muslims accurately calculate their annual Zakat while providing authentic educational resources about the principles of Zakat.
Many Muslims find Zakat calculations confusing because different types of assets, liabilities, savings, investments, and business wealth must all be considered. The application was designed to simplify this entire process through an intuitive calculator while educating users about Islamic rulings related to Zakat.
The app also serves as a personal record-keeping system by allowing users to save previous Zakat calculations for future reference. Since all calculations work without an internet connection, users can access the application anytime, anywhere with complete privacy.
The project focuses on simplicity, accuracy, ease of use, and adherence to Islamic financial principles while delivering a clean and user-friendly interface.
